Château Moyau is situated on a fertile slope directly on the coast between Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and Les Cabanes de Fleury.
Château Moyau was mentioned in documentation as early as 1792. The wine-growing tradition in this coastal region, however, can be traced back much further, because winemaking was already practiced here in ancient Roman times and the wines were highly sought after across the Roman Empire.
The great tradition of this winery is both an obligation and an incentive for us. We put our passion for wines into practice with contemporary cultivation methods and state-of-the-art cellar technology.
When we meet at Moyau, you will experience our enthusiasm for unique wines with their genuine character. Be prepared to enjoy, not only some of the best wines in France, but on the entire planet!
OUR WINES
Le Flamant
The rosé is a blend of Grenache Noir and Cinsault, which was aged in stainless steel tanks. The wine shows a very nice nose of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, almonds, violets and subtle peppery notes. The palate is juicy, fresh, with beautiful fruit.
Blanc De Noirs
Our Blanc de Noirs 2023 is the continuation of our last year’s special edition, which was so sought after that it was already sold out in June. It is a cuvée of hand-selected Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Syrah grapes. The wine presents itself clearly with yellow-gold hues. The nose reveals multilayered intense aromas of melon, peach, nuts, lime and white flowers. On the palate, the wine convinces with great body, is fresh and fruity.
Sauvage
A blend of Carignan, Grenache Noir and Syrah, a small proportion of which is aged in wooden barrels. The grapes come from vines up to 70 years old. The wine shows a wonderful nose of cherries, plum, cinnamon, mocha, leather, thyme, geranium and ethereal nuances. The palate is full-bodied, with fruit and fine spicy, mineral notes.

WINE SPOTLIGHT
Terre DE PIERRES
A blend of Grenache Noir, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The wine was aged for two years, half in small French oak barrels and half in concrete tanks. The grapes come from vines that are on average about 50 years old. The wine offers a charming bouquet of blackberries, licorice, tobacco and chocolate. The palate is very elegant with a tremendous abundance of fruit integrated in velvety tannins.
FRESH AND YOUNG
Our Fresh and Young line stands for uncomplicated wines. For many of our customers, the wines have become their house wine. The names reflect the environment of our chateau and represent the nearby sea, the pale pink color of the flamingos found on the lake in front of our vineyards and the sun of the south.
